What does "Skill Unavailable" mean?

Last updated: May 28, 2026

"Skill Unavailable" means a skill you previously started has been replaced or removed by your organisation. You can no longer engage with it, but you can clear it from your Active list by marking it as complete, then launching the replacement skill.

Why this happens

Your organisation periodically updates the skills available to your team. When a skill is replaced (for example, with a newer or more relevant version), it is removed from the catalogue. If you had already started the old skill, it stays in your Active list with an "Unavailable" tag because the platform keeps your progress history, but the skill itself is no longer launchable.

What to do

  1. Clear the unavailable skill from your Active list

    1. Open the skill in your Active list and mark it as complete. This removes it from your active view without deleting your history.

  2. Find the replacement skill

    1. Go to the skills library and look for the new skill your organisation has made available. If you are not sure which one is the replacement, your team lead or org admin can confirm.

  3. Launch the replacement skill

    1. Select the new skill and launch it. You can then begin engaging with it as normal.

  4. Select your team (only if you belong to more than one)

    1. If you are a member of multiple teams, you will be asked to choose which team to launch the skill into. Pick the team this skill relates to. If you only belong to one team, this step will not appear, and the skill launches automatically into that team.
