What types of data does Ovida collect?
Last updated: May 25, 2026
Ovida collects three categories of data, all linked to your meetings and account.
Ovida collects and stores three types of data:
Meeting data. The original video and audio recording of your meeting.
Meeting metadata. Data generated by Ovida's analysis of your meeting. This includes transcripts, audio and video analysis, and other derived information.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Any information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, email address, and account details.
Because every meeting involves at least two people, all meeting data is jointly owned by both participants. Either participant can delete a meeting at any time. Doing so removes it from Ovida's records and from the other participant's meeting history.
A note on deletion
Deleting a meeting does not delete your account. Your account, profile, and PII stay in place until you explicitly request account deletion.
Closing your account does not automatically delete your meeting history. You need to delete meetings separately, or explicitly request a full data deletion when you close your account.
For how to delete data, see "Can I delete my data?"
